Visual learning

How to use the visuals and compare them with real examples

Sleep Pathways Guild waveform and diagram visuals are teaching schematics. They emphasize features a learner should recognize, so they may appear cleaner or more obvious than authentic patient recordings.

Use them to learn channel relationships, timing, morphology, event boundaries, sleep-stage clues, artifact patterns, and troubleshooting logic. Then compare those concepts with authentic examples in current sleep-medicine textbooks, scoring references, atlases, and supervised clinical training.

For PSG-style visuals, first identify the channel, then locate the important feature, then decide what the whole pattern means. On a phone, use landscape or a larger display when a full montage is difficult to interpret.

Progress

What scores and progress records mean

Study, Skills Labs, Practice, Readiness, and Mock activities may keep separate progress records because they measure different kinds of learning. A lab result is practice evidence; it is not an official BRPT score or prediction.

Use Reports to identify areas worth reviewing next rather than treating any single practice result as a credentialing outcome.

Sources

How references are shown

Learner-facing references are presented in readable citation form. Internal mapping labels, file names, data paths, branch names, and development notes are intentionally kept out of the learning experience.

When a rule or clinical fact requires a source, use the cited reference and current authoritative materials. The study app supports learning; it does not replace the current scoring manual, facility policy, or supervised clinical competency.

Using the app

One task at a time

Most learning screens are organized around one primary action. Supporting explanations, reference help, reports, and advanced activities are separated into their own sections or links so you can stay focused.
