Follow the respiratory signal pathway before classifying the event
Study longer five-minute breathing patterns, localize evidence on 2-minute 30-second respiratory tracings, compare the newer seven-pattern teaching traces, complete the visual recognition challenge, review seven signal stations, and finish with the ten-question D2A/D2B/D3B checkpoint.
Evidence boundary: Checkpoint questions and rationales come from the validated learner-practice bank. Respiratory traces and visual-recognition cases are original teaching schematics created by Sleep Pathways Guild and do not reproduce proprietary AASM scoring-manual text, figures, tables, or rule thresholds. Use current AASM guidance, manufacturer directions, facility procedures, and supervised competency standards for clinical scoring and corrective action. Respiratory lab results do not change ordinary Practice, Readiness, Mock, remediation, or Guided Study history.

Restored respiratory timeline lab
Use the long view, then click the evidence
The older long-form learning idea is back as a separate tool instead of replacing the newer respiratory visuals. Use five minutes when the pattern itself develops over time, then use 2:30 cases when you want to locate the exact airflow, effort, oxygen, or EEG feature.

Interactive signal comparison
See how airflow and effort change together
Select a pattern to enlarge the teaching trace. Compare EEG/arousal context, nasal-pressure airflow, thermistor/thermal airflow, thoracic effort, abdominal effort, and the numeric SpO₂ trend—not one channel by itself.

Visual recognition challenge
Name the respiratory pattern from the tracing
The diagnosis stays hidden until you answer. Compare nasal pressure and thermal airflow with thoracic and abdominal effort, use numeric SpO₂ as supporting context, and if you are considering a RERA, confirm that the flow-limited sequence terminates in a sustained faster-frequency EEG arousal.

Seven-station pathway
Review the signals from sensor to event decision
Tap the whole card
Each station is a full-size button for reliable mouse, keyboard, and touch use. Mark a station only after reviewing that part of the respiratory pathway. Completion requires all seven stations plus an 80% checkpoint.

Completion rule: Complete all seven respiratory stations and score 80% or higher on a ten-question checkpoint. The restored timeline lab and the seven-case visual challenge are additional recognition practice and do not add separate completion requirements. Failed attempts remain available as evidence and never erase a previously earned completion.
